My Experience in the May Thai Fighting Industry.
"WARNING: This is a spicy one. In celebration of one year in business! Here to share a little bit about our MD. (Check out the podcast. It's even better, with some excellent content with Tavis Shearer, FREC! From TRS Resourcing)
When I got the hematoma, I received messages from all over the world. The image of my swollen face spread quickly, making me more well known for that injury than for my achievements in recruiting and fighting. It's an eye catching picture that gets attention.
But beyond the striking visual, the traits I displayed during that fight are the same ones I use in recruitment today. For those who haven't seen it, I sustained a severe injury during a fight a hematoma that swelled up prominently on my face, despite the pain and the visual shock, continued to the end.
Getting through that situation took a lot of resilience and determination, but I pushed through. It wasn't just about physical endurance. It was a mental challenge that tested my willpower and commitment.
The same principles apply in the world of recruitment. Every day, recruiters face challenges that can seem overwhelming. Whether it's finding the right candidate for a difficult to fill position, dealing with the disappointment of a great candidate rejecting an offer, or navigating the ever-changing landscape of industry demands, resilience is key.
The recruitment process can be challenging, with rounds of interviews, negotiations, and sometimes unexpected setbacks. But, just like in my fight, pushing through to the end is essential. Staying focused and motivated, even when things get tough, can make all the difference.
In both fighting and recruitment, resilience isn't just about surviving, it's about thriving despite adversity. It's about taking the hits and continuing to move forward, learning from each experience and growing stronger. The lessons learned in the ring have equipped me with a unique perspective and a strong set of skills that I bring to my recruitment career every day.
So, when you see that infamous picture, remember it's more than just a dramatic image - it symbolises the resilience and determination that drive success, both in the ring and in the office".
